My 5 year old loves it because now he sounds like daddy. I had one as a child and was certain he would enjoy it as much as I did. Based on the reviews and the fact that this is considered a children's toy, I expected it to be about as loud as those birthday cards you open and a siren goes off. Much to my surprise, it was quite loud. Even the microphone was pretty loud. However, the picture is not accurate...the real device looks like the yellow and black siren, but then has a better quality cord (curly cord) than the picture attached to the microphone, kind of like a CB mic, that clips to the back of the horn. Switch on the mic lets you switch between siren and mic, and switch on the siren itself lets you switch between the 3 sirens.Downside, two of the three sirens sound exactly alike, so it's really only two different sirens. Also, entirely made out of plastic, so durability and weather resistance is questionable. But for the price, it's a fun novelty item. |
