Choosing the right pellet is important for optimum performance. Your first choice is easy: choose the Daisy brand; the brand that's synonymous with airguns. Your next choice is based on how and what you'll be shooting. If you’re hunting small game, step up to Daisy's hollow point pellets for high impact.

I bought a 22 air rifle to control the overpopulated squirrels, which had invaded my attic. Every time I heard them chewing something in the attic, my heart sank. Along with the air rifle, I bought RWS and Daisy pellets. RWS costs more than twice Daisy per pellet.
I zeroed in with RWS pellets. It gives me an 1-in spread in 20 yards. Surprisingly, when I switch to Daisy pellets, I did not need change calibration at all. It seems that these two types of pellets are very similar in weight and air dynamics. I also get 1-in spread in 20 yards.
In the following two weeks, I was able to get rid of 10 squirrels and solved the pest problem. I used mostly Daisy pellets as they are more effective in penetrating than the dome shaped RWS.
Comparing the costs and effectiveness, I'd give Daisy two thumbs up.

It's pretty good ammo, I used a can much like break in ammo. I found quite a few rounds a little out of shape and it wasn't very consistent in accuracy, but it's OK inexpensive ammo when you're not worried about the perfect grouping.
