Powertec L-CDA Leverage Chin / Dip Assist

Product Description

Chin-ups and dips made easy and effective! The two best exercises of all time to train the upper body. Chin-ups work the back and biceps while dips work the chest, shoulders and triceps. Both of these exercises are so productive but unfortunately most people can't perform more than even a few reps while using their own body weight. Powertec has developed the first assist system in leverage form at an affordable price for everyone. The concept is simple. Load weight onto the lever arm and that is the exact amount you will deduct from your body weight so you can perform chin-ups and dips using full range of motion and ease.

Amazon.com Product Description

The Powertec L-CDA combines two of the best exercises of all time to train the upper body. The chin/dip assist machine facilitates chin-ups, which work the back and biceps, and dips, which work the chest, shoulders, and triceps. Both the exercises are extremely productive, but unfortunately most people can't perform more than a few reps using their own body weight. The L-CDA overcomes this by offering a leverage-based assist system. Unlike commercial gym machines--which offer weight stacks for resistance but cost thousands of dollars--the L-CDA has developed an assist system in leverage form at an affordable price for everyone. The concept is simple: just load weight onto the lever arm, and the machine will deduct that exact amount from your body weight, letting you perform chin-ups and dips with ease using a full range of motion. The L-CDA, which measures 40 by 88 by 48 inches (W x H x D), offers a 220-pound weight capacity and carries the following warranties: lifetime on the frame, two years on component parts (such as bearings and spring pins), and one year on pads and grips. All plates are sold separately.

Item arrived today. Took just over an hour to put togetherVery easily done by myself. Used it for about an hour along with my free weights. I have been working out for about 8 years off and on but have never incorporated pull ups in with my work out. Wow im sore like i have never been before! I'm excited to see what kind of gains i will see in the next 3 months. Machine is very smooth and works ever bit as good as it looks in videos!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Happy With Machine, February 15, 2011

I have used this machine ever since I got it. It works great. The only thing you have to understand is that it comes in pieces. You will need at least one hour and a half and patience to put it together. I recommend two people putting it together but is possible with one. The machine itself will work only as good as its been put together So if you do rush through the assembly and bolts are loose them yes its not going to work right. also keep in mind you need a level floor this makes a huge difference. I would recommend this machine to anyone as long as they understand the above.

Be warned when purchasing this machine that the olympic weights are sold separately. It will end up costing another $100. or more to buy the weights required to use this machine. The machine is bulky and not quite as stable as I would like, but it works adequately and overall performs as I expected.
