Lightweight , adjustable , smooth , and doesnt tangle like some of the cheaper jump ropes. I do some high speed stuff and this keeps up with me perfectly and at the same time it doesnt eat away at the edges of the ropes like certain leather jump ropes. I have a number of jump ropes and they are a very important part of my exercise regimen. This rope, which by the way I spent much more on at a local sports shop) is one of the best ropes I have ever used, especially for speed training...I mean this sucker can move!It has enough weight and balance to be perfectly comfortable and the bearing mechanism is smooth, nonbinding and pretty low maintenance. It is indeed adjustable to different heights and the adjustment process is quick and easy. I am 5'9" and it works perfectly. My friend, who I work out with all the time, is 5'5" and her rope works perfectly also. Tangling is almost nonexistent. Each part is replaceable (hey, everything will eventually wear out), but I have not had to use any replacement parts yet even though this rope gets at least five hours per week of intense use.
