It turned the glue into a slurry that I could wipe away with a minimum of effort. In contrast, 409 left me with sore muscles on the same project, and that was combined with a magic eraser, and I didn't even finish. I use this stuff to clean my guns, tears right through any grease/oil that gets on the polymer frame, I even use it sometimes on the metal, and have seen people detail clean their entire firearm with simple green. Diluted 10:1, it'll still cut through stove top grease and most everything else, all without ruining the air quality. The only detractor is it's leaves a bit of a streak when cleaning glass. If your willing to buff it out, it looks good enough. I've also used this to clean laptop screens and the surrounding plastics with a good microfiber cloth. I know it says no plastics...
